About Us

Who Are We, and What Do We Do?

PickLaptop.com exists to answer one question, over and over, for every kind of reader:

“What’s the best laptop for you?”

We write in-depth laptop reviews, buying guides, and step-by-step how-to tutorials. Whether you’re a student, a professional, a creative, or a tech hobbyist, we help you choose the right laptop for your budget, your requirements, and your actual use case — not the spec sheet a manufacturer wants you to care about.

Every article is built to solve a real problem: confusing specs, compatibility questions, reliability concerns. If you’ve ever gotten stuck comparing laptops at 1am with fifteen tabs open, chances are we’ve already written something to get you unstuck.

Who’s Behind This Website?

Nootan, mid-repair — chip-level work, not just spec-sheet reading

Nootan Kumar is the founder of PickLaptop.com — a former network engineer, a chip-level laptop repair technician, and an all-around hands-on maker. Seven-plus years in computer hardware and repair means the technical depth in these articles isn’t secondhand; it comes from actually opening the machines up.

Outside of laptops, Nootan is the creative force behind NootanCrafts, a DIY blog where technology meets craftsmanship — custom desks with built-in lighting, wardrobes, woodworking, metalworking, and high-performance PC builds, all documented start to finish.

I believe in simple living, deep thinking, and doing things with your own hands. I write to help, I build to learn, and I share so others can do the same.

Whether he’s soldering a motherboard or carving a piece of oak, the same rigor and curiosity carries over — and that multi-disciplinary background is exactly what shapes how he evaluates laptops: performance, usability, and long-term reliability, not just launch-day hype.

Nootan isn’t chasing a social media following. The websites do the talking — honesty, clarity, and usefulness, consistently.

Our Laptop Selection Process

We don’t just list laptops — we vet them. Before any machine gets recommended, we look at:

  • Manufacturer specifications
  • User reviews & long-term feedback
  • Hardware reliability reports
  • Performance benchmarks
  • Build quality & design
  • Real-world use cases

The goal is exceptional value and practical, long-term performance — not trendy specs. Every guide is built to help you skip the hype trap and buy with confidence.
